About the role
The NSW & ACT State Manager – Security role is a key leadership role in our Security Services Division.
The successful candidate will lead a diverse and innovative team in providing security services to our Clients across NSW & ACT. In addition, you will contribute to the development and implementation of our growth strategy as part of the national leadership team in ensuring we continue to delight our existing Clients and build relationships with new Clients through the innovative services that we offer. You will be a key member of a diverse and inclusive operations team and integral to its continuing success.
Key to this role is experience within the Security sector - especially senior leadership experience within diverse, multi-site and multi-million-dollar revenue portfolios.
Holding a valid NSW Security License, a valid Driver's Licence as well as demonstrated security and management experience is essential.
Duties & Responsibilities:

- Maintaining and actively building relationships with established accounts across NSW & ACT.
- Ensuring the delivery of services to Clients meets or exceeds the requirements of our contractual arrangements.
- Managing the cost base of the business, ensuring we provide services that delight our Clients while we remain profitable.
- Being accountable for the NSW & ACT Security State budget.
- As you are managing regional accounts - regional travel is essential as a part of this role.
- Ensuring a workplace environment across our NSW & ACT sites that promotes effective communications, positive employee relations, and teamwork.
- Demonstrating your ability to prepare convincing business proposals and assisting with negotiating key contracts.
- Overseeing and supervising events for Clients (outside of ordinary business hours).
- Understanding, interpreting, and applying contract deliverables.
- Enacting high level people management skills – with the ability to train coach and influence people.
What we are looking for in a candidate:
- Minimum 5 years managing and leading the delivery of security services to Clients.
- You are well organised, confident, and able to work to tight time frames.
- You have outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- We are a people business – so the right candidate will have deep and broad experience in leading and managing staff whilst at all times putting safety at the centre of everything that you do.
- You are a team player and you can also operate autonomously.
- You have demonstrated ability to work with a diverse existing Client base and build lasting relationships.
- You are an effective communicator to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- You have a positive, can - do, attitude, high-level of customer service, and be able to react and think ‘on your feet’ when required.
Essential:
- Valid NSW State Security Licence
- Valid Drivers Licence
- Relevant tertiary qualification preferably in a commercial stream (e.g. Security industry, Property & Facilities Management, Marketing, Financial/Accounting or Business).
- Ability to demonstrate an ongoing commitment to learning and personal development.
