About the role
We are looking for a State Operations Specialist to join the Elders team on a permanent, full-time basis.
Reporting to the State Finance & Operations Manager, the State Operations Specialist focusses on supporting the strategic decision making of the Elders State Leadership Team. This role will drive best practice for both Finance and Rural Products Operations, and include Fleet Management for Elders at a state level.
This is an exciting and unique role driving key insights and improvements for Elders operations across Queensland and the Northern Territory. Candidates with demonstrated financial acumen and business operations experience will be highly regarded.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to the State Finance & Operations Manager and Area Managers with the annual budgeting process.
- Reporting and analysis of key financial metrics of State Operations
- Assist Area Managers with reporting on all key performance indicators and commercial activities across the state.
- Assist the State Rural Products team and Area Managers with development, communication and implementation of effective inventory management policy and procedures.
- Provide training and ongoing support at branch level to enable effective inventory management, including stocktakes.
- Monitor Fleet performance in State against key performance indicators and cost measures.
About you
- Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships
- Relevant experience in a business operations or commerce role
- Agricultural or related industry experience
- Highly developed knowledge of rural products and logistics.
- Understanding of marketing, pricing and product ranging
- Strong analytical capability and financial acumen
- Excellent communication & presentation skills
- Administrative, organisational and problem-solving skills
- Tertiary Qualifications are desirable but not essential
