The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales leader to oversee the local experienced Sales team, warehouse and office operations, based in Melbourne. This role is responsible for driving sales growth, profitability and maximising market penetration. The successful applicant will report to the National Sales Manager, and be responsible for leading and managing the VIC/TAS sales team and achieving agreed sales and margins by:
- Ensuring excellent customer service
- Leading, developing and managing the experienced sales team
- Building and maintaining strong business relationships
- Building success with our distribution partners
- Identifying new business opportunities in the Domestic, Commercial, Industrial, Mining, Data and Hazardous markets using innovative solutions
- Managing key customer accounts including electrical wholesalers, contractors, end users, consultants and specifiers
- Contributing to the company wide business strategy and ensuring implementation.
The Person
The successful applicant will have:
- Proven success in sales management within a technical/electrical company, including managing a sales area and achieving sales targets
- Proven track record of initiating, developing and maintaining long term client relationships
- Electrical trade or tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering
- Tertiary qualifications in Business
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal and coaching skills to effectively build and manage a cohesive, inclusive high performing team environment.
- High level of emotional intelligence, with experience managing a diverse range of staff across sales and operations
- Intermediate computer skills, including the effective use of CRM software
- Ability to travel regularly in VIC, TAS and domestically
- Current and valid Driver's License
