Our client Finance Brokers Association of Australasia (FBAA) is a not-for-profit organisation established in 1993. Their core functions are to Monitor legislation and make representations to Ministers and Members of Parliament at both state and federal levels. Their vision is to assist members to develop as business professionals and be skilled and successful finance brokers, by providing advocacy, education, and support services.

What you’ll contribute to:
This role is to provide greater face to face relations with FBAA Brokers, Aggregators and Sponsors (including employees of aggregators and sponsors) in all applicable states or territories. It is expected that the State Manager (Manager) is 80% of time in the field performing their role.
The role has three (3) primary elements:
- Net Member Growth (NMG) of satisfied members.
- Relationship development and maintenance with all aggregators.
- Relationship management with all FBAA members and fostering new members.
About You
Our ideal candidate will have a background in Finance and/or mortgage broking or lender experience of 3-5+ years, having strong communication and networking, and holding a Cert IV and or Diploma in Finance or Mortgage Broker would be ideal. We are looking for someone who is willing to travel nationally as needed and who is ambitious and self-motivated. You will be able to provide experience in a role requiring growth and retention of a customer /membership base as well as Sales experience - qualifying, rapport development, pitch/presentation, overcoming objections, closing the sale, and maintaining relationships. This role is suited for someone who is eager to join a great functioning team and really make a positive impact for members.
Key deliverables/responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Meet with Managers & BDMs to secure their support, maintain support or resolve issues.
- Report to FBAA on all meetings to ensure all FBAA working with same level of knowledge and understanding.
- Meet with members at FBAA and Aggregator Professional Development days and conferences, and as mutually agreed.
- Identify opportunities relating to Purpose and presents case/s to gain FBAA support.
- As a person located away from the FBAA office the Manager is in a trusted position and the expectation is this is respected in terms of daily activity solely at achieving FBAA targets and goals.
- Attending FBAA and Aggregator Professional Development days and conferences.
- Attend weekly meetings or as advised will be primarily by videoconference so to plan strategies and prioritise the week ahead and provide key updates.
- Must be able to travel both within the state, surround areas and nationally when required.
