Job Description:
We are currently seeking a Station Cook at Moray Downs.
Reporting to a very supportive, easy going station manager and joining a happy and close-knit team at Moray Downs Station, (280,000 acres of cattle breeding & back grounding) located 2 ½ hours from Charters Towers.
Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:
You'll thrive getting to manage your own time and priorities, working safely to:
Plan, prepare and cook wholesome and nutritious breakfasts and dinners (team of around 6 + visitors & contractors from time to time)
Baking tasty, sweet & savoury smoko options
Maintain a variety of lunch options for staff to cut & pack
Monitor stores and consumables
Ensure high standards of kitchen cleanliness, hygiene and food storage
Maintain an easy-care homestead garden, including mowing, whipper snipping, spraying, pruning, watering and moving sprinklers
Job Requirements:
Previous experience in this role isn't necessary, but a positive attitude and willingness to help is a must! This role will suit someone who:
Takes great pride in their work
Enjoys working on their own alone
Can be relied upon to manage their duties
Has a positive, upbeat outlook
Can safely fulfil the physical requirements
Loves to get outdoors
