AddressWe are recruiting for a full time Station Cook for the 2024 mustering season on a remote Aboriginal owned cattle station in Cape York
What you will be doing:
- Cooking four HEALTHY and delicious meals for 12-15 hungry employees daily, and cooking for extras quite often (visitors, pilots, contractors etc).
- Healthy and hearty meals - a great understanding of food nutrition and healthy eating guidelines.
- Meal planning and rationing of stores.
- Keeping the kitchen to a high standard of cleanliness and organisation.
- Maintaining the highest level of food hygiene.
- Stores ordering and unpacking.
- Cleaning the laundry/toilet directly behind the kitchen.
- Helping out with other station jobs as needed with enthusiasm.
- Warmly welcoming our staff, guests and visitors to our station with positivity and great nutrition yummy home cooked meals.

You must be well-presented, clean, tidy, organised and sober habits are vital.
You must embrace a positive attitude towards work and learning and a willingness to help out where you can across the station as needed.
Numbers of how many staff and visitors to cook for will change day to day, your flexibility is paramount.
We need someone who is easy to get along with, friendly and supportive towards others.
You be must able to work and live with a closeknit team, and to welcome our hardworking hungry staff and visitors into our kitchen and on our station.
