About the Position:
The City of Bayswater has a great opportunity for a motivated,process driven individual who has the ability to balance complianceand community needs in the position of Statutory PlanningOfficer.
The successful applicant will be required to assist in ensuringthat development within the City is undertaken in accordance withthe provisions of the Town Planning Scheme, Council’spolicies and the community expectations on development.
About you
As a Statutory Planning Officer you will need comprehensiveknowledge and experience in town planning, legislation, principlesand practice. Experience in a similar role with proven success inresearch, report writing, presentation, analytical and decisionmaking skills is preferred.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate their ability towork as a positive team member, build relationships, but also hasthe ability to manage their own workload, prioritise matters andcarry out tasks independently and efficiently. The successfulcandidate will understand how imperative providing high levelcustomer service is and will demonstrate their ability to work inline with the City’s Customer Service Charter.
A Tertiary qualification in Urban and Regional Planning or arelevant discipline is required. The City may give consideration tothe right applicant who is less experienced and/or working towardsa relevant qualification. In this instance a lower banded salarymay be negotiated.
