ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking experienced Steel Fixerswith exposure to the FIFO civil construction sector for a long-term project at the Gorgon facility on Barrow Island.
The scope of work includes the construction of in-situ:
- Footings/Pedestals.
- Complex Transformer Bunds/Cable Pits.
- Slabs/Footpaths and other miscellaneous Concrete items.
ABOUT YOU
You must have experience in:
- Reading and interpreting complex reinforcement designs and understanding Rebar Schedules.
- Setting out / Tying complex Rebar Cages in-situ within correct spacing and tolerances.
- Ensure correct cover is maintained between Reo and Formwork Shutters.

ABOUT BARROW ISLAND
Barrow Island is located around 60 kilometres from the mainland and approximately 139 kilometres west of the Port of Dampier. It's also home to Chevron’s Gorgon Project and WA Oil operations. It is the largest oil field discovered in Western Australia. Ertech has been a major service provider to Chevron Australia’s Gorgon Project for over 10 years.
Barrow Island provides excellent on-site accommodation including meal services, as well as gym facilities (mixed and separate gyms available for men & women with a variety of fitness classes to choose from), sporting facilities including a football field, golf simulator, bike hire, 2 swimming pools, basketball court, tennis court and a cricket pitch!
