Sterility Assurance Technician

We currently seeking a dynamic Sterility Assurance Technician to join our team and provide support to our Production and Sterile team at North Ryde:
- An exciting 12-month fixed contract/secondment opportunity.
- Follow established procedures and guidelines to manufacture the organization’s products according to production specifications and schedules; volume, cost, and wastage targets; and quality standards.
- Work in a manner that protects the safety and well-being of self, others, and the environment.

What you’ll do
Reporting to the Sterile Manager, the Sterility Assurance Technician is responsible for playing a critical role in our business. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conduct viable and non-viable environmental monitoring as per current procedures.
- Effectively manage, coordinate and complete all sterile entry training and validation.
- Provide advice on Microbiological quality related matters to all personnel entering sterile area.
- Assist with development and review of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
- Provide regular feedback to all personnel entering sterile area on aseptic behaviors and technique.
Essential for the role
- Knowledge and understanding of the principles and concepts of compliance management and Good Manufacturing Practice.
- Knowledge and understanding of Safety, Health and Environment.
- Competent in problem-solving and risk analysis.
- Highly proficient in time management and administrative tasks.
- Flexible approach to work ensuring that production requirements are met.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable for the role
- Qualified in Tertiary Education in Science, or equivalent in a scientific discipline.
- Knowledge and understanding of Microbiological testing and analysis.
