Originally a retail business with 13 pie shops around Sydney, Garlo's Pies has grown into a capable and innovative manufacturer that supplies to supermarkets, pubs, clubs, schools and airlines around Australia, plus exporting internationally to six countries.

About the Job

The Stock Controller will be responsible for managing the physical and system based transactions of ingredients, packaging and finished goods across the the business. This role will ensure all stakeholders follow stock control procedures with a view to maintaining high levels of stock integrity and accuracy. 

Your main responsibilities include:

• Reconciliation of deliveries against orders and the management of supplier DIFOTIS.
• Ensuring system based transactions are recorded accurately and efficiently.
• Routine cycle counts of raw ingredients, packaging and finished goods.
• Stock take preparation.
• Assist Warehouse Coordinator and Purchasing Officer in monthly stock take.
• Maintain accurate and compliant records of stock adjustment, cycle counts and expiry dates.
• Ensure FIFO principles are being followed.
• Oversee the Picking and Packing function of daily deliveries.
• Investigate stock variances and ensure corrective and preventative actions are completed.
• Ensure all food safety and workplace health and safety guidelines are adhered to.

About you

We are searching for a candidate with a background in Warehousing and Stock Control. You will bring to this role a strong attention to detail, time management and organisational skills. Experience working within the food industry is essential. Experience working in freezer and chiller environments and operating a forklift is highly desirable but not essential.
