About the role
As the Store Manager, you are responsible for the store’s operational efficiency and its employees. You will focus on quality coffee and customer experience and strive to exceed expectations and go above and beyond to ensure the customer receives the best of what Merlo Coffee has to offer.
The key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Customer Service: ensuring our famous customer-focused service is maintained by all employees.
- Staff Management: Training, rostering, and organising the store team.
- Product Knowledge: Continuously educating staff on coffee and product knowledge.
- Financial Management: Performing day to day cash and stock management, purchasing and profitability management of site, wage percentages and sales targets.
- Store Management: Maintaining the presentation and daily running of the store to the highest standard, including food safety and OH&S.
About you
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar management role and industry.
- Full time availability.
- Strong passion for coffee and commitment to the success of Merlo.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills and demonstrated ability to lead by example.
- A minimum of 1 year high volume coffee making experience.
- Demonstrated ability to train, coach and develop staff.
- A keen interest in long term career progression within the business.
- An outgoing personality coupled with genuine love of customer service.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
