About Us:
Skate Society is an SA owned and run, full service skate shop. We offer a wide range of products including roller skates, inline skates, skateboards, scooters, protective gear, spare parts, custom builds and lessons. Located in Hindmarsh, moments outside of the CBD, is our retail store, online fulfillment warehouse and indoor skate space all in one venue. Tram and bus stops are also located within a short walk.
The Role:
We are on the lookout for a Store Manager to oversee our operations in Hindmarsh. Roster to be negotiated with the individual, however weekend availability is essential.
This is more than just your standard retail management role as you will bring your knowledge and experience to help drive the direction of the business. Together with the owners you will be responsible for the overall management of the daily operations of the store including staff management, merchandising, driving sales and customer service, ensuring best practices and meeting quality standards to achieve key results and support company strategies.
Salary will be negotiated in line with the successful applicants experience.
Responsibilities:
- Offer exceptional customer service and unforgettable shopping experiences across all sales channels
- Direct and oversee the training and development of staff to build and sustain a high performing team
- Develop and implement processes to ensure consistent outcomes and operational efficiencies
- Maintain a fun and energetic environment for customers and team members
- Monitor and maintain store inventory levels, with a focus on building processes to ensure correct inventory records
- Uphold elevated visual merchandising standards and store presentation
- Build relationships with stakeholders such as suppliers, schools, skating clubs and the local community
The successful applicant will be/have:
- A passion for skating (in any form) and skate culture, with the desire to learn and build upon that knowledge
- Previous management experience in a retail and/or ecommerce environment
- A people person with a love for customer service, always looking for ways to exceed customer expectations
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- The strong desire to lead and inspire a team to succeed
- An interest in keeping up to date on products, brands & industry trends
- Organised, with a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Self-motivated and eager to meet/exceed sales targets and KPIs
