Want to be part of a privately-owned Australian company who is the major provider of quality automotive, marine and industrial batteries throughout Australia? This newly created position is based in Ballarat and requires someone who wants to make their mark by being energetic and influential to successfully drive the business forward.
This position will suit a manager who is hands on in the day to day practical operational activities of running a store including a trade/retail counter.
Duties and Responsibilities
- managing the Store, warehouse and future sales staff to deliver on Company objectives
- Day to day operational management, ensuring efficiency and debtor control
- Managing and overseeing effective stock control to minimise aged stock
- Train, lead and guide your future employees to help them achieve on Company targets
- Develop and actively seek out new business in your region to expand and grow the business
- Ensure the customer experience is positive, leading to new opportunities and repeat business
- Ensure Company vehicle is correctly maintained, serviced and well presented
- work every second Saturday
Do you have what it takes?
- previous Store/Branch management experience, ideally within the automotive industry
- Passionate about giving customers great service
- A Manager who leads by example with strong interpersonal skills, with previous people management experience
- You have well developed communication skills and experienced in motivating your staff
- You are physically FIT and healthy as some heavy lifting is involved
- Current open manual licence is essential
- Forklift licence desirable
- Reliable, punctual and trustworthy
