EIG Cash & Carry is a retailer and distributor of Asian groceries to regional centres. EIG is looking for a commercially-minded and hands-on Store Manager to take our business through a period of growth and transformation.
A day in the life of a Store Manager will involve:
- Maintaining stock, supplies and inventory while upholding security controls
- Develop and implement strategies and business plans in line with company goals
- Seek out new customer accounts and business opportunities, and maintain product knowledge and understanding of competitors in the market
- Recruit, train and motivate team members and providing back up for various roles within the store
- Manage rostering and staffing needs, anticipating seasonal changes
- Manage store accounting functions, including cash handling and reconciliation, plus banking transactions as needed
- Oversee the P&L and prepare and analyse company reports (eg sales and inventory)
- Monitor stock movement and record goods received and transferred, while liaising with the Purchasing and Warehouse teams to manage stock levels.
- Conducting regular inventory counts to maintain accuracy
- Provide courteous and efficient customer service, and handling customer inquiries, complaints and returns
- Picking and packing customer orders, and delivering goods to/from customers and suppliers
- Upholding WHS policies and procedures
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in managing retail or food store operations.
- Strong leadership and business acumen.
- Excellent communication skills in English and preferably Chinese.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/CRM systems.
- Valid forklift and driver's licenses.
- Energetic, proactive, and customer-focused.
- Exposure to the food industry is desirable.
