Job Description:
As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of store operations, ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers, and driving sales to meet and exceed targets. You will lead, coach, and develop a team of retail associates to achieve their full potential, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Team Development:
- Inspire, mentor, and motivate the store team to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve sales goals.
- Conduct regular coaching sessions, performance evaluations, and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.
- Store Operations:
- Manage day-to-day store operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, rostering and visual merchandising.
- Ensure the store is well-stocked, organised, and meets company standards for cleanliness and presentation.
- Monitor and analyse sales performance, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Customer Experience:
- Cultivate a welcoming and engaging store environment that prioritises customer satisfaction.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and timely manner.
- Implement strategies to enhance the overall customer shopping experience.
- Sales and Financial Performance:
- Drive sales to achieve and exceed store targets, utilising effective sales techniques and promotions.
- Monitor and control store expenses, ensuring profitability and efficient budget management.
- Analyse sales reports and KPIs to make informed business decisions and optimise store performance.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal regulations.
- Maintain a safe and secure work environment for both staff and customers.
- Proven 5+ years experience in a retail management role, with a track record of achieving sales targets and leading successful teams.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and develop others.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Passion for retail and customer service, with a proactive and positive attitude.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in retail software and Microsoft Office Suite.
