The Opportunity
Reporting to the Workshop Manager, the Store Person will take the lead position to manage and safely coordinate the Stores System at our Waroona Branch.
The Role
The daily responsibility of the Store Person ensures that all materials, consumables, equipment and tooling is readily available to enable the safe and productive execution of projects company wide. You will enjoy working independently, operate within company guidelines, and have the mindset of providing a first-class level of service to our customers. You will have the full support of the Workshop team and wider Schlam business.
This position is offered as permanent full-time.
Key Responsibilities
- Goods Inwards – receival and entering into the stock management system EXO
- Proactive management of the EXO stock system to ensure resources are readily available
- Following up of outstanding Purchase Orders
- Maintaining Workshop stock consumables, replenishments, weekly ordering
- Picking and packing of items for dispatch
- Freight coordination – inwards and outwards goods
- Maintaining the asset register for all light tooling
- Equipment maintenance
- Housekeeping – ensuring the professional presentation of the Stores at all times
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Certificate III in Warehouse Operations - desirable
- EXO systems experience - desirable
- Proven experience working in a stores/warehouse environment – resources sector will be looked upon favourably
- Testing & Tagging License (desirable)
- Forklift Ticket
- Current Drivers License – MR minimum
- Strong computer skills – Word/Excel/Outlook
- Excellent communication skills
- A safety-first mindset at all times
