Locally family-owned and operated for over 40 years, Max Stocks provides more than 5000 fresh, frozen, and dry quality food service products to hotels, resorts, supermarkets, restaurants, hospitals, aged care, schools, takeaways, cafes and more. About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Store person/Driver who is willing and able to work afternoon/morning shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficient and accurate multi-drop deliveries to our local customer base
- Checking of orders and invoices at time of delivery and raising any discrepancies
- Assistance with dispatch and loading of vehicle, ensuring orders are packed and stacked in a safe manner to avoid injury and/or damage
- To undertake all duties in a safe, responsible and courteous manner
- Pick/pack orders accurately and efficiently
- Assist in the loading of goods into vehicles for delivery
- Replenishment of stock into picking locations
- Correctly present paperwork as per company procedures
- Practice safe and correct manual handling
- General warehouse duties in a dry and cold store environment
Key Competencies, Skills and Qualifications
- A clean driving record with a current licence (MR essential)
- Forklift Licence essential
- Experience in multi-drop deliveries preferred but not essential
- Customer focused with an appreciation for being the 'public face' of the company
- Previous experience and understanding of warehouse and transport operations, preferably in the food service industry
- Ability to learn a broad range of products
- Understanding of OHS and HACCP requirements
- Good organisation, communication and time-management skills
- Highly motivated and flexible, with a solid work ethic and positive, can-do attitude
- Be able to work autonomously as well as in a team environment
- Ability to solve problems and learn a broad range of products
- Physically fit and able to undertake the duties of the role, including lifting/manual handling and repetitive entering/exiting of a vehicle
