About The Role
Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Storeperson is responsible for maintaining a cost effective store that meets the needs of operations at our Vickery mine site as part of early mining activities. You will achieve this by ensuring all supplies, goods inwards and goods outwards documentation is completed and accurate in detail. This is a local Gunnedah based role which requires the successful applicant to either live in or relocate to the region.
What You’ll Do
- Use your initiative to clarify your tasks, initiate improvements and work with minimal supervision and in a coordinated manner with your peers
- Provide assistance and support to the central maintenance team and site maintenance teams as required
- Develop and implement standards, procedures and processes in the relevant functional or process areas
- Develop solutions to identified problems and take accountability for resolving issues
- Actively pursue cost savings measures for the business
- Prepare and monitor reports on order and delivery of goods and services to assist in timely progressive completion of contract requirements
- Performance manage suppliers and maintain accurate stock inventory listings
- Support the development of a safety culture where safety is an integral part of ‘the way we work’
What You’ll Bring
- Trade / Tertiary Qualifications (Business/Commerce/ Engineering/ Warehouse Management/ Procurement desirable
- Forklift and MR/HR truck Licence, ideally plant clerical experience as well
- Extensive experience in the mining industry around Stores/Warehousing
- Experience using Pulse MMS
- A strong commitment to workplace safety
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal, cooperative and facilitation skills as part of interfacing with various levels of management and external bodies or agencies
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, honesty and integrity
- Computer literacy and the ability to analyse data.

- Ability to work in a high pressure and competing priority/ambiguous environments for sustained periods.
