AddressAbra Mining Pty Limited (Administrator’s Appointed) is seeking an experienced Storeperson for a full-time position with the company based at our Abra Mine.
Abra is located approximately 220km north of Meekatharra, in the Gascoyne region of Western Australia. The mine represents one of the world’s cleanest and largest standalone lead-silver projects capable of producing “Metal in concentrate” of between 90 – 100ktpa lead and 600 – 800kozs silver per year.
The Abra Mineral Resource geologically consists of multiple mineralised zones predominately consisting of an upper over-laying sediment bound Apron zone that sits above an underlying hydrothermal feeder system called the Core zone.
The most recent LOM plan (1.5Mtpa) based on the MRE2023, grade control model updates and ore mined to date contains 16.3Mt @ 6.9% Pb indicating a mine life of 10+ years.
The Abra Mine construction and commissioning was completed in late 2022 and production ramp up took place during 2023, the mine has now reached steady state production volumes.
The underground ore mined is processed through a conventional processing plant, to produce a high-grade lead-silver concentrate that is exported via the Geraldton Port.
The Role
This is an exciting time to join Abra as we enter our second year of production.
Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, as the Storeperson, your primary responsibility will be to procure materials and equipment to keep the mine running efficiently and effectively, as well as administering the warehouse functions for the mine site. You will prioritise safety, and be a key player in a high-performing team. You will contribute to an atmosphere of teamwork and collaboration within your immediate team, other departments and contractors.
In addition, your responsibilities will include:
- Receipting of goods delivered
- Loading & unloading of freight
- Ensuring consistent placement of inventory items according to the Stores layout.
- Maintaining the stock inventory in relation to stock descriptions, part numbers and existing coding practice.
- Ensuring that housekeeping standards within the Warehouse area are maintained to a high standard
- General administration duties, including filing, data entry, and document management, as required
- Providing support for purchasing duties as required
- Undertaking month-end reconciliations for stores items, fuel and reagents.
Your work ethic will be reliable, consistent, and always with a high attention to detail. You are a collaborative and productive team player. In addition, you will need:
- Certificate in Procurement and Supply Operations is desirable
- Current WA “C” class driver’s license and Licence to operate a forklift truck
- Previous stores/warehouse experience with exposure to the mining industry being desirable
- Advanced computer literacy and business software knowledge of Pronto
- The ability to meet established timeframes and solve daily problems that arise.
- FIFO 8:6 roster ex Perth or DIDO ex Meekatharra and surrounds
