Storeperson

As a result of Georgiou's significant growth, our Infrastructure team is seeking a Storeperson to work on the Ocean Reef Project. The candidate will ideally live either North of the River or central to the CBD area. The successful candidate will undertake general construction work and ensure the maintenance of amenities and stock on site whilst assisting in keeping the worksite in a clean and safe state. This role will be for the life of the project, starting at the end of March for minimum of 12 months work. We strongly encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Our reconciliation vision is 'to walk together as equals' and is reflective of our partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.You will be trusted to: * Conduct general labouring and manual cleaning tasks * Maintain site facilities and ensure they are in a clean and sanitary condition * Storage and removal of materials, products and equipment * Stocktake and replenishment of PPE, survey equipment and consumables on site * Receipting of deliveries and identifying discrepancies * Pick up or delivery of items as necessary * Assist in transporting personnel around site * Assist in the refuelling of plant on site and ensuring jerry cans are organised for plate compactors out in work areas * Inspection and maintenance of site fencing and barricading flagging * During and at the end of work activities, ensure that worksites are left in a state consistent with safety standards * Carry out safety checks * Assist with site inductions * Undertake ad hoc tasks and duties as directed What you are good at: * Exposure to or use of Mobile Plant/Equipment/Tools preferred * Exposure to various hand tools & equipment preferred * Able to meet physical demands of the role and able to lift regularly lift/carry up to 5kg-10kg and occasional lifting/carrying up to 10kg-30kg * Comfortable with exposure to loud, intermittent noise, vibration and dust * Able to walk on uneven, unstable or soft ground * Previous civil construction experience preferred but not mandatory * Ability to work well within a team * Hold a valid C class drivers licence and white card * Have an excellent safety record Why Georgiou: * Australian owned and CCF multiple award-winning national business with a strong pipeline of upcoming projects and opportunities for career development * Competitive hourly rate and access to Georgiou Perks platform providing discounts to a multitude of retailers * Supportive leadership teams who care for and mentor you to achieve your full potential * Values-led organisation guided by care, integrity and excellence in everything we do * Well-being leave, Paid parental leave and flexible work arrangements available If you share Georgiou's values of care, integrity and excellence, are committed to collaboration and innovation, and are looking for your next exciting challenge, we want to hear from you!
