About the Flinders Health and Medical Research Building
At the beginning of 2022, construction commenced on the $255 million Flinders Health and Medical Research Building (FHMRB). Due to open in the first quarter of 2024, the FHMRB will enable researchers, practitioners and industry partners to work together more closely than ever before, creating a hub of collaboration within southern Adelaide's own biomedical research precinct. Located adjacent to Flinders Medical Centre and Flinders Private Hospital, it will be the focal point of research informed by genuine patient need, positioned to make an immediate improvement to people's health and wellbeing.
About the Role
The Stores and Logistics Coordinator will develop, implement, and coordinate all activities within the Health and Medical Research Building (HMRB) loading dock and consumables store. This includes the ordering of stock replenishment, requests, auditing, receipt, distribution and supply of deliveries in accordance with Flinders University procedures. This role is also responsible for maintaining an International Air Transport Association (IATA) Shipper Certification and liaising with relevant areas in relation to delivery and dispatch of goods and work closely with Technical Services staff, researchers, and external stakeholders to provide an exceptional level of service delivery.
About You
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
  • Coordinating activities within the HMRB Delivery Dock and consumables store
  • Package and dispatch shipments involving Dangerous Goods in line with International Air Transport Association protocols
  • Maintaining a good knowledge of WHS principles and practise, in relation to handling hazardous materials, and ensuring the HMRB Dock and Store are fully compliant with legislation and University policy
  • Producing standard delivery reports and conducting stocktakes on a regular and ad hoc basis
  • Arranging the safe storage, handling for chemicals/gases/other dangerous materials until collected and/or distributing items to relevant areas.
