We're looking for a meticulous and organised Logistics Coordinator to join team in Croydon Park, South Australia.
Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations:
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials, ensuring quality control.
- Participate in physical inventory counts and maintain accurate stock records.
- Issue materials, tools, and equipment following proper procedures and paperwork.
- Pick and pack stock for current projects, maintaining bills of materials.
- Pack, crate/palletise, and dispatch materials according to their purpose and fragility.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment according to OH&S standards.
Inventory Management:
- Initiate procurement to replenish stock based on material on hand and departmental needs.
- Conduct regular supplier price checks to optimise costs.
- Manage stock to prevent overstocking of low-turnover materials.
- Process claims for faulty goods, late deliveries, and short deliveries.
- Collaborate with other Decon locations to manage and rationalise stock.
Logistics Coordination:
- Organise domestic logistics services with contracted partners when required.
- Assist with weekly reports to NBN/Telstra and Project Managers, reconciling orders.
- Assist with learning and organising system reporting for sales orders and tracking excess materials.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Maintain clear and concise communication with internal teams (Warehouse Manager, Operations Team) and external suppliers.
- Report all hazards, near misses, accidents, and non-compliant products or processes.
- Participate in team meetings and training initiatives.
You'll be a great fit if you have:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a logistics or warehousing environment.
- Valid Australian driver's license (unrestricted).
- Forklift Operator's license.
- Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude.
Bonus points if you have:
- Heavy Vehicle Operator's license.
