The Role
Fixed term, from as soon as possible to 31 July 2024, working up to 73.5 hours per fortnight at our Launceston campus.
You will be responsible to:
Provide appropriate maintenance of tools, equipment and spare parts in the storeroom.
Issue tools, equipment and spare parts as required by students and staff.
Maintain an inventory database of all tools, equipment and spare parts.
Maintain all inflammable goods store areas using the appropriate protocols and procedures.
Repair and maintain tools and equipment.
Process purchase orders and tax invoices, order and receive stock.
Maintain records of financial transactions in relation to the stores.
About You
These are the capabilities required to undertake the role successfully:
Demonstrated level of knowledge and skill, relevant to controlling and maintaining of a store area, including knowledge of applicable service tools, specialist equipment and spare parts.
Proven knowledge and experience in using computers and related technology.
Sound knowledge of maintaining a stock inventory and a maintenance log in relation to a store’s environment.
Ability to communicate and work co-operatively with other team members and relate well with students in an adult teaching environment.
Personal skills of flexibility, initiative and innovation, together with the capacity to work with minimal direction.
Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to upholding the principles of occupational health and safety

Current Registration to work with vulnerable people in Tasmania.
