THE ROLE
Applications are sought from experienced forklift drivers, that want an entry level role into the mining industry for a 4 - 6 week casual contract.
The responsibilities of this role will include:
- Receiving and checking deliveries against order
- Maintain register of deliveries and stock
- Maintain a register of outwards freight despatched
- Reconciliation of consignment notes and orders
- Identification and investigation of anomalies between physical & recorded stock levels
- Manual handling of incoming goods as required
- Complete rolling stock counts as directed
- Maintenance of accurate records of issues, receipts, stocktakes, etc
- Inspection of work area, equipment and stores for hazards, damage and defects and maintain high standard of housekeeping
- Store all goods in accordance with established layout plans and safe storage guidelines
- Assist maintenance planning personnel
- Undertake all other duties as reasonably directed by your Supervisor
To be considered for the role, you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical & problem solving skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Current forklift ticket and experience loading and unloading goods using forklift on uneven surfaces
- Current C Class driver’s licence
