About the role:
John Hunter Hospital (JHH) has an exciting opportunity to join our Intensive Care Equipment Team as a Storesperson. The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Storesperson is responsible for maintaining stock levels of standard and specialised items for the Adult and Paediatric ICU. The ICU Storesperson will collaborate with the ICU Procurement and Asset manager and Technical Assistants to ensure stock and supplies are kept at an optimum level, expiry dates monitored, and stock rotated accordingly, as well as maintaining an inventory of specialised supplies as required.
- You will be joining a friendly, flexible, and compassionate workforce and will be supported in this role by our dedicated and multi-skilled team.
- You will be supported with an individualised orientation program, and we have a team of staff that supports and assist with the provision of learning opportunities for your ongoing development in the role.
Where you'll be working:
John Hunter Hospital Intensive Care Unit is a dynamic 29-bed unit that supports the people of Hunter New England Local Health District and the Mid-North Coast. The ICU is co-located with a 7-bed Paediatric Intensive Care Unit, Organ and Tissue Donation Service, and The Hunter Retrieval Service. It’s an exciting and supportive place to work, with plenty of professional development opportunities.
The ICU has experienced recent and ongoing growth and is resourced to provide specialised medical, nursing, and allied health care for a wide variety of intensive care patients - 2025 will see the opening of the JHH and Innovation Precinct which will include an exciting new ICU and PICU with over 50 beds.
