Our client AGL are seeking an experienced Communication & Stakeholder Engagement Manager to join them on a contract basis in Melbourne CBD. This is an initial contract for six months in a hybrid working environment.

Key purpose of this role
The Strategic Communication & Stakeholder Engagement Manager will be responsible for crafting, delivering, and driving Retail Transformation's (RT) communication strategy, both internally and externally. The outcome of successful delivery will be a unified and compelling narrative that builds the sustained engagement, pride and commitment of all stakeholders to the RT objective of simplification, digitisation and effortless experiences.
This role will drive excitement through compelling storytelling, and taking accountability for critical communication channels, including established internal channels, board papers and annual reports, plus externally facing public relations, speaking engagements and press releases. Collaboration with various internal teams, vendors and agencies is fundamental in this role to ensure consistent messaging.
You will have
- Tertiary qualification in communications, public relations, journalism, a related field or the equivalent industry experience.
- Proven and extensive experience in a similar role.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to craft persuasive and compelling narratives, including simplifying complex messaging for easy consumption to diverse audiences.
- Experience in creating and implementing successful change Communication and public relations strategies to meet large organisations objectives.
- Proficiency in utilising various communication channels and tools, including social media, email, multimedia platforms, and media relations, to suit the objectives of the communication.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to form strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Proven ability to adapt to change, work in a fast-paced environment, and navigate through ambiguity with creativity and confidence.
- A robust understanding of the key business drivers for performance and use of sound business practices
- Strong project management skills, with ability to coordinate multiple parties to deliver across concurrent projects. Managing and balancing the needs of each to realise full benefits for the business
- Advanced MS PowerPoint and MS Work skills.
- Professional writing and editing experience highly regarded
- The ability to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive agreement aligned to the optimum outcomes for the business
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience working in transformation programs or Energy industry is desirable.
