Your new roleReporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives to promote our services, cultivate philanthropic support, and engage with key stakeholders including residents, families, donors, and community partners. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in marketing, philanthropy, and Stakeholder Engagement, with a passion for advancing the mission and vision of Abound Communities.
As the Executive Manager of Marketing, Philanthropy, and Stakeholder Engagement, you will hold a pivotal role in leading the development and implementation of a comprehensive marketing and branding strategy for Abound Communities. This includes identifying market trends, assessing competitive landscape, and capitalsing on opportunities for growth. This also includes developing and executing a robust philanthropic strategy to diversify funding streams. This involves cultivating relationships with foundations, corporations, and other potential donors, as well as overseeing grant writing and fundraising campaigns.

You will ideally bring the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public Relations, Business Administration, or related field Or Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in marketing, communications, and philanthropy, preferably in the aged care, home care, or retirement village industry.
- Experience in developing and implementing philanthropic programs, fundraising campaigns, and community engagement initiatives. Familiarity with donor cultivation, stewardship, and grant writing processes.
- Demonstrated ability to implement project plans and timelines, regularly communicate with stakeholders, and monitor project progress and budget.
- Demonstrated experience in developing successful marketing and communication strategies
- Proficient and experienced with the use of Microsoft Office, IT systems, applications and software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Philanthropic Giving Strategy
- Develop a comprehensive philanthropy strategy to deliver revenue against targets and maximize donations and philanthropic gifts to Abound Communities, including grant funding.
- Work across Abound Communities’ businesses to seek opportunities to deepen donor engagement.
Philanthropy and Fundraising Management
- Manage the development, production, and implementation of annual appeals ensuring an elegant multi-channel approach designed to grow acquisition of donors to Abound Communities.
- Participate in philanthropic development including submissions and tenders for funding.
Marketing, Communications and Brand Strategy
- Design and lead the communication strategy, across online, ambient, and print channels, ensuring clear communication and a strong brand narrative.
- Develop, lead and implement contemporary multichannel marketing, communication and strategic partnership initiatives designed to enhance brand integrity across all platforms, to support the strategic objectives of the business.
Stakeholder engagement
- Contribute to a culture of learning and innovation.
- Develop effective cross-departmental relationships and an effective working partnership with all parts of the organisation to align and integrate donor activities.
- Highlight success stories, community involvement, and initiatives that demonstrate the organisation's commitment to serving our residents.
Digital Marketing:
- Utilise digital marketing tactics to reach a broader audience, including older people and their families.
- Measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and philanthropic activities.
Content Creation:
- Create informative content that educates older people and their families about the aging process, available care options, and retirement living choices.
