We’re always looking for better ways to deliver for our customers – and for our people.About the role:Reporting to the Strategic Partners Segment Lead, The Strategic Partners Manager plays a pivotal role in Origin Zero's mission to lead the transition to net zero by fostering sustainable energy partnerships with our largest business customers.This role is responsible for identifying and converting strategic account opportunities, managing relationships throughout their lifecycle, and ensuring seamless touchpoints within Origin Zero. The role sits within a dynamic, cross-functional team consisting of business development, account management, product, solutions engineering, and delivery. The team are responsible for tailored propositions spanning electricity and natural gas, renewable energy solutions (grid-scale and behind the meter), energy storage, demand management and VPP, and emission reduction strategies.Why this role matters?
  • Implement strategic account plans that expand Origin's business customer base by attracting new customers and deepening our relationships with existing customers.
  • Contribute to the growth and development of the strategic account and advisory pipeline.
  • Engage key C-suite and senior management within target organisations to build the trust, understanding and value required to execute long term partnerships.
  • Responsible for managing strategic customer relationships, maintaining key connections with senior stakeholders.
  • Identifying both inbound and outbound opportunities to grow Origin’s customer base through acquiring new customers/accounts or cross selling solutions to existing customers.
  • Accountable for leading proposals development (whether formal bids or direct engagement), including analysis of commercial terms and risks. From time to time will support large and/or complex proposals being lead by the Segment Lead or Senior Strategic Partner Manager of the relevant segment.
  • Keep customers at the centre of the team's thinking by taking responsibility and ownership of the customer journey with Origin.
What will you bring?
  • At least 7 years' experience In B2B business development roles
  • At least 5 years' experience in the energy industry generally
  • At least 3 years’ experience in B2B energy commodity account management
  • Experience developing non-commodity energy solutions such as solar, BESS, demand flexibility and other energy related products.
  • Able to identify risks and develop mitigation and control plans.
  • Customer centric.
