THIS OPENS THE DOOR TO YOUR FUTURE: OUR OPPORTUNITY
As the Strategic Procurement Manager -NPI you will play a pivotal role ensuring the Strategic Procurement function, continues to exceed within the APAC region. You will be a critical link between new projects and ensuring that our business is set up to implement them to market.
With a project pipeline already in position, you will predominantly work on projects across Australia & New Zealand, to gradually expand into SE Asia, India, Middle East & Great China. This position will provide an opportunity to collaborate with the Regional Procurement Managers, Regional Supply Chain Managers, and the Supply Chain team as well as Sales, Marketing & Engineering.
Reporting to the DVP Procurement APAC, your responsibilities will include:
- Focus on continuous improvement, ensuring the management of the current Strategic Procurement, in support of dormakaba New Project Introductions.
- Manage sourcing for new product development, confirming suppliers and aligning with respective category manager before sourcing commences.
- Collaboration with Engineering and the R&D Team to be able to drive down product cost and time-to-market during new product development.
- Decide on supplier for specified parts during new product development according to respective category strategy.
- Developing and executing professional sourcing strategies for direct and indirect spend considering Sourcing Resilience.
- Execution of Contract and Supplier relationship management including supplier development and innovation
- Ensuring execution of professional tenders including establishing and negotiating contracts according to the defined sourcing strategy for the category
Currently this role has one direct report, who is based in Singapore. With views to expand the team, both locally & internationally, this position provides an opportunity for you to make your mark within your career but also within our business.
YOUR SKILLS
You will have a proven track record of being able to align multiple parties and have the ability to find solutions to problems using your creativity, reasoning, and past experiences. You are someone who drives collaboration and support of internal customers, ensuring alignment with key stakeholders as well as goal-oriented interaction with both the global & regional Procurement Teams.
- Working knowledge of SAP or ERP systems
- Ability to build relationships, influence, and act as an expert across the organisation up to Management level
- Technical comprehension of products and components
- Skilled in continuous improvement and cost reduction
- Experience in contract and supplier relationship management
- Experience in execution of professional tenders and category management
- Experience in S&OP
- Leadership experience in complex organizations
A background working within a global environment procuring in NPI would be particularly advantageous as would someone with relevant qualifications - Bachelors' Degree in Engineering, Business or Supply Management.
