About the Opportunity
As Strategic Transformation Lead you will support the Manager of Information & Business Transformation to develop and deliver significant, strategic enterprise-level transformative projects for Mitchell Shire Council. The role will focus on the review and analysis of the business’ objectives, services, systems, processes and information structures to support change. This role is responsible for the design and delivery of multiple improvement initiatives with high organizational visibility and successful engagement required with stakeholders across all levels of the business. As part of the Business Transformation team you will drive the Council-wide adoption of an open and inquisitive approach to innovation, drive cross-functional efficiency, and improve the effectiveness and value delivered from change execution, including the adoption of agile mindsets, values, principles, processes, and tools.
This role is a permanent part-time opportunity (4 days per week). Remuneration begins at $96K (Band 7) pro rata, plus superannuation.
About You
Degree or Diploma in a related discipline, or lesser formal qualifications with minimum of four (4) years’ experience delivering successful transformative projects that affect systems, processes and people
Applied business analysis skills with an ability to map and re-design business and system processes in conjunction with subject matter experts and stakeholders
Understanding of digital technologies and the benefits these offer to customers and service delivery teams
Ability to articulate a compelling vision in order to engage and secure the support of senior stakeholders and the wider organisation.
Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills. Collaborative, cross-functional working style
Ability to work with technical specialists to ensure that deliverables are integrated, effective and meet business requirements
Strong understanding of project management principles and practices
Capacity to adapt to changing priorities, lead projects or work in a team and meet deadlines in an effective manner
Experience of designing and delivering best-in-class customer experiences. In-depth understanding of customer journeys
Strong influencing and negotiation skills. Experience of managing significant relationships with external suppliers
Excellent change management and stakeholder engagement skills
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
