Your New Role
The Strategy & Corporate Affairs (S&CA) Domain will be accountable for protecting and promoting the Fund's reputation and for setting and pursuing strategies to transform the Fund and the system in which we operate. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate Strategy, the purpose of this position is to:
- Lead the development of business/functional level strategies and key strategic initiatives
- Conduct key strategic analysis and insights to inform executive decision-making
- Play a lead role in strategy development and execution of organic and inorganic growth, including innovation efforts to drive growth and adoption of new ideas
- Support activities related to the development of the Fund strategy, business planning and evaluation of opportunities to achieve the Fund's long-term strategic objectives
Key duties include but are not limited to:
- Support the development, review and maintenance of the Fund's long-term strategy.
- Play a lead role in the development of the fund-wide data strategy.
- Lead the development and coordination of strategy at business unit levels and functional levels.
- Deliver key activities which support coordination and alignment of various strategies across the Fund.
- Assist with the preparation of Executive Committee and Board submissions.
- Be a trusted advisor to business units to deliver and align strategic initiatives and solutions.
- Develop evaluation and execution frameworks and processes.
- Conduct robust market scans to identify new opportunities for the Fund, staying on top of market trends and activities.
- Provide analysis of global and cross-industry trends, and global benchmarking.
- Support development of quantitative and qualitative market intelligence, benchmarking and competitive landscape, modelling and scenario development.
- Monitor and interpret Fund performance to identify Fund implications and generate insights which will influence management decision-making.
- Investigate major industry shifts and identify tactical and strategic implications.
What You'll Need
- Strong demonstrated experience in top-tier management consulting or an in-house strategy role. Financial services experience is preferred but not essential.
- Strategy development experience.
- Superior analytical capability and structured problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyse large datasets and derive strategic and actionable insights.
- Developed written and oral communication skills with the ability to present ideas, perspectives and issues.
- Strong stakeholder management and communications skills.
- Developed ability to collaborate and operate in a collegiate style.
- Experience in transformation and organisational design is desirable.
