Form of workJMD Engineering are an established multi-disciplinary design consultancy with offices in both Perth and Bunbury servicing our major clients across the resources and mineral processing sectors.
Due to an ongoing and expanding project portfolio, we are currently inviting applications from experienced Structural Design Engineers with a strong passion for structural engineering and a drive to deliver high-quality project solutions within a team of like minded professionals.

What you will need – Technical
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Membership with Engineers Australia
- A minimum of 5 years' design and site experience in the resources, mineral processing and/or mining sectors in both a brownfields and greenfields environment
- Demonstrated experience with SPACE GASS, Femap, Tekla Tedds, AutoCAD and Navisworks or similar design packages
- A strong understanding of relevant Australian design standards and building codes
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong practical aptitude
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
What you will do
- Design and analysis of steel and concrete structures to statutory and client requirements
- Prepare detailed engineering calculations and design reports
- Review designs for accuracy, feasibility, safety considerations and adherence to project specifications
- Structural integrity inspections, audits and reporting including developing remediation solutions
- Collaborate with fellow team members, project professionals and clients to develop innovative, practical and costs effective project solutions
- Assist with project management tasks including budgeting, scheduling and client communication
- Project scoping
- Construction and commissioning support
