We are seeking a talented and design focused Structural Designer with a minimum of 2+ years' commercial and/or industrial experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for design, a keen eye for detail and commitment to produce quality drawings. Must have solid construction knowledge combined with exceptional documentation experience using Autodesk Revit software.
Our company is establishing new in-house Revit modelling capability and need you to set up the Revit system and standards which will apply to all projects. Working with the design engineers and the principal you will create and maintain standards and independently document our projects. Collaboration and coordination with external design team members and a helpful attitude are essential.

As a member of a small and supportive team, you will be working in a very busy practice, located in Gold Coast's central hinterland suburb of Highland Park. Our business enjoys an ever-increasing stream of design & documentation work ranging from storage, commercial, childcare, multi-residential, water treatment infrastructure, bridges and culverts and industrial projects.
In summary, the following skills are essential:
Minimum 2+ years structural design experience.
· Strong Autodesk Revit skills with emphasis placed on both ability and high productivity, to be able to prepare comprehensive sets of construction documents using this software
· Excellent AutoCAD skills
· Recent construction industry experience, preferably with independently leading and managing own projects
· A common sense approach, strong time management skills with initiative and ability to problem solve with practical solutions
· Strong communication and comprehension skills - verbal and written
· Strong work ethic and a commitment to quality workmanship essential - MUST be a self starter who shows initiative
