Working with a technically skilled and cohesive team, you'll have the opportunity to play a key role in assisting our client in successfully delivering current and future projects. With well-developed interpersonal skills, you will liaise with a range of stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of projects and prepare/review relevant documentation.
About the Role:
As a Structural Engineer, you will lead project teams to deliver high quality Structural Engineering services efficiently and effectively. You will liaise with key stakeholders, working collaboratively with architects, drafters, construction manager and civil engineers. This role is suited for an engineer that thrives been in front of customers / face to face and managing 2 – 4 projects at a time in the Tier 1 & Tier 2 sector.
- Undertake structural analysis and design
- Prepare and review technical reports, drawings, and specifications
- Provide technical support during construction
- Collaborate with clients, architects, and other engineers to deliver high-quality projects
- Develop cost-effective preliminary, conceptual designs and detailed structural analysis that are appropriate to the project and client’s needs
- Ensure timely delivery and budgets are met for project design/drafting services
- Contribute to the development, growth and expansion of companies portfolio of clients, assisting with fee proposals and tender submissions
- Attend meetings with clients and stakeholders to negotiate project outcomes
- Provide technical input on a range of issues for clients, other stakeholders and internal staff
- Conduct site inspections to ensure site conditions are considered in the design process
- Ensure all designs are thoroughly checked by other engineers, any errors are corrected prior to issuing documents
- Perform all work in a manner that is safe and without risk
About You:
- 2- 5 years of post-qualification Structural Engineering experience
- Relevant academic qualifications
- Knowledge and competence in the use of relevant software such as RAPT, Strand7 and ETABS to complete projects
- A solid understanding of Australian Standards is essential
- A proactive approach to continuous learning
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with a wide variety of people
