The opportunity
As a Structural Engineer at Omega Project Services, you will have the opportunity to grow your skills and capabilities, with excellent career development opportunities. You will work on projects in Sydney, Central Coast and Newcastle Area.
This opportunity has flexibiilty to do the design work at home.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
- A minimum qualification of Bachelor Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of post-graduate experience as a Structural Design Engineer
- CPEng and RPEQ, or actively working towards (highly regarded)
- Great written and verbal communication skills
- Strong knowledge of structural design and documentation of reinforced concrete, steel, timber and masonry structures
- Proficiency in structural analysis and modelling using: ClearCalcs, ETABS, Wallap and Structural Toolkit
- Expert knowledge of the relevant Australian Standards including AS1170, AS3600, AS3700, AS1720, AS4100, AS2870 and the NCC
- A White Card and current NSW Driver’s License
- Full Australian working rights
Your day will consist of:
Design, analyze, and document projects
- Daily use of Structural Softwares
- Resolve technical design&construction queries
- Travel to sites and attend site inspections, resolve RFI’s and prepare reports
- Support senior management
