Position Summary:
We're looking for a Remedial Structural Engineer to join our team. In this role, you'll conduct site inspections, prepare defect reports, and work directly with the director. You'll identify defects accurately, write comprehensive reports, prepare remedial scopes of work, run tender meetings, assess tenders, and handle other tasks related to remedial projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site inspections for defect reports and prepare comprehensive reports.
- Report directly to the director and accurately identify defects.
- Prepare detailed remedial scopes of work.
- Organize and lead tender meetings, assess tenders, and manage tender processes.
- Collaborate with the team on construction project programming and NSW Planning Portal submissions.
- Ensure compliance with the Design and Building Practitioners Act.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor of Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in remedial engineering.
- Membership in Engineers Australia.
- NER (National Engineering Register) preferred.
- Design Practitioner License is a bonus.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong structural design skills in steel and concrete.
- Proficiency in project management software, such as Monday.com.
- Understanding of NSW Planning Portal submissions and documents.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Design and Building Practitioners Act.
- Proven leadership skills with a successful track record of project management.
