Your new role
As the Project Manager, you will work to ensure compliance with relevant codes, regulations and design guidelines are met. You will be responsible for managing projects and duties when required. With the bigger picture always in mind you will reflect best practice allowing a smooth transition through construction process and ensure communication is effective and productive with clients with quality and outcome in mind at all times.
Your day to-day could see you:
- Dealing with the estimating team, the drafting and the design team internally
- Interacting with external stakeholders - clients and contract administrators
- Going on-site inspections
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience within the building industry
- Experience previously as a Project Manager
- Experience within structural steel would be an advantage
- Ability to undertake multiple projects
- High level of communication
- Proficient Microsoft Outlook skills
- Adherence to production deadlines and time management
- Supervise multiple site projects to ensure quality, on-time delivery and budgets meet objectives.
- Read and interpret plans and specifications
- Ensure all works adhere to WHSE, QA and building compliances and regulations
- Supervision and coordination of trades teams including employees and subcontractors
- Coordinating transport, cranes and other equipment related to project sites
- Participation in periodic project and construction team meetings
- Develop team skills, expertise and professional capabilities
- Delegation of work between the team to maximise workflow
- Maintain effective communication with team members
