The Role
Kent is currently seeking highly motivated Full-Time Student Administration Officers. These positions are available at our Melbourne and Sydney campuses and will report to the Manager of Student Services, based at our Sydney Campus.
The Student Administration Officer is responsible for student application processing, generating Provider Registration and International Student Management System (PRISMS) documentation, handling potential and current student enquiries, assisting with student enrolment and orientation programs, processing academic documentation and record keeping in regard to all Kent students.
Key Tasks
- Providing students with general information about courses and enrolment procedures.
- Assessing applications for admission in accordance with Kent Institute Australia’s Student Selection and Admission Policy and Procedures.
- Issuing Offers of Admission for suitable and accepted candidates.
- Ensuring the issuance of accurate electronic Confirmation of Enrolments (eCoE’s) via PRISMS within specified turnaround times.
- Processing course variations, updating student contact details and Tuition Protection Service (TPS) reporting via PRISMS and Kent’s Student Information System (RTO Manager).
- Entering enrolments to RTO Manager and maintaining student files.
- Handling telephone enquiries.
- Processing the registration of new students.
- Assisting students to complete enrolment forms, request forms and related documents.
- Processing Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) payments.
- In liaison with the Academic Unit, providing guidance and advice to students related to course changes, withdrawals and deferments.
- Assisting the Student Services Unit staff undertaking student engagement, welfare and retention initiatives as required.
Requirements:
- Completion of Year 12 with relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Certification in Basic Office Administration Skills
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Familiarity with RTO Manager
