We have a great opportunity for a capable individual to join us as a Student Counsellor on a part time fixed-term basis until 20 December 2024.
The Student Counselling Team are responsible for providing one-on-one personal counselling support to assist students to remain engaged in their education at The Gordon. The Student Counsellor provides short term support to all students, acting as a referral service to students requiring ongoing counselling or support. This role works closely with the wider Student Support team, teaching staff, management and key external stakeholders and agencies to provide a high level of support to students to meet their individual needs.
The role includes regular face-to-face, phone or video contact with students, Gordon staff and external support networks to ensure the best outcomes for students and will require someone with exceptional relationship building skills and the ability to relate well to a diverse range of people. The role is also responsible for providing presentations at information sessions.
The role requires liaison with external service providers, to ensure the best outcomes for students.
Employmentopportunity: 0.60 (22.8 hours per week) Part Time Fixed Term Contract to 20 December 2024
Salary: $75,906 to $81,566 p.a (pro-rata) plus Superannuation
Superannuation is paid at the current superannuation guarantee rate.
