About the Role
Join us at the University of Melbourne as a Student Events Officer (SEO), where you'll be at the forefront of organising key university events like graduations and exams. With a focus on student experience and academic integrity, you'll manage large-scale activities, handle data, and provide high-quality customer service. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage, manipulate and supply the data of students as their course statuses change and they become eligible to graduate.
  • Responding to staff requests and queries regarding graduations.
  • Coordinate timelines associated with graduations and liaise with key stakeholders in communicating deadlines.

Your organisational prowess is indispensable, coupled with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with ease while remaining composed and demonstrating adept problem-solving. You will also have:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient in standard software like Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), adaptable to new technology.
  • Skilled in extracting, analysing, and managing data with precision and quality control. Advanced Excel skills preferred.
  • Strong team player, maintaining focus and productivity in dynamic environments. Willingness to contribute to delivering high-quality student services and events.

This role requires work during event periods and at times outside of regular hours to deliver high impact outcomes for the University.

This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.

Please note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. This role requires current valid work rights for Australia.
