About the opportunity
The Student Fees team is looking to recruit a Student Fees officer to join their high performing team.
The Student Fees team consists of the International Fees team and the HECS and Domestic Fees team and you will work closely as a joint member of both teams.
In this role, you will provide general support for operational activities; primarily focused on fees for both domestic and international students – Commonwealth supported, domestic and international fee paying, HELP loans, Overseas Health Cover, Government reporting, international student refunds.
You will use your discretion to perform tasks which include monitoring, supporting and, where required, escalating activities with an emphasis on quality assurance, continuous improvement and collaborative knowledge sharing practices. Responding to enquiries and assisting with problem cases, striving for an improved student and stakeholder experience related to fee and government compliance/reporting matters. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, excellent attention to detail and a positive and proactive attitude to collaboration.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
delivery of daily administration activities and services ensuring that high quality and efficient administrative support is provided in a proactive manner to staff, students, clients, and visitors.
as a “specialist” in international and domestic fee related matters, provide advice and resolve student fee, HESA and ESOS compliance related matters that may arise with discretion, tact, and diplomacy.
Ensure databases, extracts and regular reports issued are aligned with business needs and established procedures.
Assist with the implementation, documentation and review of procedures and processes across the Student Fees team to ensure appropriate support for skill and knowledge sharing.
Contribute and communicate with stakeholders to ensure a high level of customer service is maintained in line with Service Level Agreements.
