Job description

Holyoake is a leading provider of counselling and support services for people impacted directly and indirectly by alcohol, other drugs, and related mental health issues. We operate through five locations in Victoria Park, Midland, Northam, Narrogin and Merredin, and employ over 100 staff.

We are inviting applications from suitably skilled Student Placement and Clinical Training Coordinators to work on a part-time (3 days a week) basis at our Victoria Park office. This is a great opportunity to work within a dynamic and supportive team environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Coordinate Holyoake's organisational wide Student Placement program, liaising with Holyoake Clinical Management team, University and industry workforce development officers and potential students.
  • Provide information, orientation, and weekly supervision to students on Placement and write reports at the conclusion of their placement.
  • Develop an internal training calendar for Holyoake clinical staff.
  • Coordinate and deliver training as required, relevant to organisational needs.

Skills required:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a counsellor to meet University requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in training development and delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience in clinical supervision.
  • Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of clinical interventions within a group work and AOD framework.
  • High level presentation and training skills.
  • Strong organisational, interpersonal, and report writing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and develop people.
  • Ability to successfully build relationships and work collaboratively with key stakeholders.

Criteria for successful applicants:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in counselling, psychology, or social sciences.
  • National Police Clearance, no more than three months old.
  • Current WA Driver’s Licence.
