Provide and maintain an effective and efficient administrative system for the processing of Statutory Planning and Subdivision applications and other planning related matters. Assist and support the planning team in providing service excellence to team members of Council and the community.
Core responsibilities include:
- Respond to colleagues, ratepayers, and members of the public by telephone and face to face in an effective, efficient and timely manner.
- Prepare and process correspondence, reports and recommendations in relation to the planning process.
- Maintain the integrity of Council's property data-base system and registers with accurate data entry and timely processing.
- Communicate with the community and provide advice through the course of the planning process.
- Liaise with external referral authorities and internal referral units throughout the processing of planning applications.
- Studying towards a planning degree is highly advantageous
- Prepare correspondence including letters, permits, advertising signs and notices and other general correspondence in relation to the planning process.
- Provision of planning and general Council advice over the phone and in person at the planning counter.
- Manage time effectively.
- Set own priorities and complete tasks within statutory and corporate time frames.
