Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Student Services Manager at Murdoch College, a brand-new role designed to elevate student experiences and support the College Director in delivering exceptional services. This pivotal position involves managing professional staff, focusing on student retention, transition, and fostering a culture of continuous professional development. The Student Services Manager will actively contribute to delivering exceptional customer service to key stakeholders, shaping the foundation of this dynamic role.
Responsibilities
- Lead professional staff recruitment and induction.
- Coordinate professional development program for professional staff to ensure staff are effectively supported and developed.
- Conduct performance reviews to meet best practice.
- In cooperation with People and Culture and Payroll manage professional staff requests.
- Oversee social programs, student representative bodies, pastoral care & non‐academic counselling matters.
- Manage Student Success Officer accountabilities around student enrolment statuses.
- Develop, manage and Plan Orientation for all incoming students.
- Being a productive member of the Kaplan team by displaying the Company values through your day-to-day role.
Requirements
- Previous hands-on experience in Student Services Management, specifically within the international education sector (essential)
- Demonstrated experience in management and team leadership roles (essential)
- Understanding of legislation and regulations governing international education in Australia
- Ability to consistently interpret and apply policy
- Excellent organisational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Coaching and mentoring skills
- Experience with PRISMS, and student management systems (desirable)
- Tertiary degree (desirable)
- Developing and implementing policies and processes (desirable)
