By supporting the academic endeavour across teaching, research, and the student life, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to activities that have a lasting impact on our community.Join a community where excellence is at the core of our culture, contributions are valued and a range of are available, such as:26 weeks paid parental leave or 14 weeks paid primary caregiver leave17% superannuation contributions17.5% annual leave loadingHealth and wellness discounts – fitness passport access, free yearly flu vaccinations, discounted health insurance, and access to our Employee Assistance Program for staff and their immediate familyAbout This OpportunityThis is an exciting opportunity for an organised, personable and customer focused Student Support and Administration Assistant to join Southern Queensland Rural Health (SQRH) in Charleville.SQRH is a Commonwealth-funded University Department of Rural Health and is a joint initiative of The University of Queensland (UQ), University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ), Darling Downs Hospital and Health Service (DDHHS) and South West Hospital and Health Service (SWHHS).As the Student Support and Administration Assistant, you will provide a wide range of administrative and Student Support including accommodation coordination and facilitating the efficient and effective functioning of day-to-day Student Support and administration procedures, operations and logistics.Key responsibilities will include:Working under general supervision, provide high level administrative support to staff.Facilitate efficient functioning of the office's day to day procedures and operations.Assist with processes and procedures in relation to student accommodation for students on clinical placement. This includes assisting with accommodation bookings, accommodation security processes, and accommodation property maintenance and inspections.Liaise with internal and/or external clients and stakeholders, including answering routine queries and providing advice as relevant to the role.Apply a range of desktop-based programs and/or management information systems.Undertake office reception tasks, including meeting, coordinating and briefing visitors.Coordinate committee/meeting/engagement activities, including booking rooms, scheduling meetings, drafting relevant documentation, taking minutes, monitoring RSVPs and liaison with attendees.Administer relevant financials (i.e. manage reimbursements and other expenses in accordance with University financial policy and procedures).This is a full-time, fixed-term position through to 31 December 2025.At HEW level 4, the full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $71,640 - $75,957, plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be up to $83,818 - $88,870 annually. As these roles are covered by an Enterprise Agreement, you will also receive regular remuneration increases in line with the Enterprise Agreement.About YouCompletion of a Cert IV or Diploma with relevant work experience; Cert III with extensive relevant work experience; completion of a post-trades certificate and extensive relevant experience and on-the-job training; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.Demonstrated high level of proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and previous exposure to practice management software.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Demonstrated skills in providing a high level of customer service, including effective interpersonal skills.Effective organisational, time management and problem-solving skills.In addition, the following mandatory requirements apply:Work Rights: You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment to apply.
