Student Support Assistant (Lower Primary)

Position: Student Support Assistant

Contract: Fixed term, part-time, term time only

Appointment: Starting ASAP and will cease 06/12/2024

Hours: Monday – Friday, 31.25 hours per week as per duty roster.

About the Role:

Brisbane Montessori School invites qualified Student Support Assistants to apply for a Part-Time fixed-term term-time only contract for the remainder of 2024, with the possibility of an opportunity in 2025. This contract is 31.25 hours per week over five days. Tuesday 8am - 2:45pm and every other day 8:15am - 3pm.

Application requirements:

• Certificate IV in Education Support or equivalent is essential.
• Positive Notice Blue card (working with children check) is essential.
• Experience working with children is essential.
• Childcare first aid and CPR qualifications.
• Montessori qualifications are preferred. However, a willingness to embrace the Montessori philosophy would be considered.

• Parent Child Programme (PCP) Birth - 15 months

• Montessori Independent Toddler Community (MITC) 15 months – 3 year olds

• Children's House (3 – 6 year olds)

• Lower Primary (6 – 9 year olds)

• Upper Primary (9 – 12 year olds)

• Middle School & Year 10 (12 – 16 year olds)

• Senior School Years 11 & 12 planned for January 2026
