Community College Northern Inland currently has an opportunity to join our Moree Campus, 4 days per week. The Student Support Officer will, with the campus team and the rest of the CCNI team, ensure that CCNI’s practices and behaviours comply with the Standards for RTO’s by providing students with quality outcomes through the five key phases of the student experience – Marketing and Recruitment, Enrolment, Support and Progression, Training and Assessment and, Completion.
Our successful applicant will also deliver digital access to communities via The Hub - a 4WD vehicle equipped with powerful portable internet connectivity. The right person will be able to make a powerful impact in the Moree Plains - helping specialised services, employers and the general public access broadband free of charge with support.
This position is a part-time, fixed term contract until June 2025.
Essential Criteria:
- Strong communication skills and commitment to customer service
- Excellent skills in Microsoft 365 or similar cloud system including Word, Outlook and Excel
- Excellent skills in email and file management
- Experience using 3rd party software and apps such as student management systems, office software and social media platforms
- Accurate data entry skills
- Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision
- Experience in a confidential environment and able to use good judgement (common sense)
- Demonstrated experience in community project management, including the ability to facilitate groups, organize events, and proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and community organisations.
- Strong understanding of Kamilaroi culture and community.
- Effective time management skills and the ability to work to strict deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a broad range of people from a variety of backgrounds and experiences as well as highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
- Current Driver’s Licence and the ability to travel into country areas and on dirt roads
- Working with Children Check and a National Police Clearance certificate
Desirable Criteria:
- Certificate IV Training and Assessment
- Business or administration qualifications
- Understanding and experience of the vocational education and training sector
