The opportunity 

The School Officer: Student Wellbeing Officer provides social, emotional, and spiritual support to students, parents, and/or staff within the specific needs of the school. The school is looking for an experienced candidate who will

• collaborate with school leadership and counsellors to engage with and provide support to students who may be experiencing personal challenges or mental health issues
• engage students in a range of activities that support their physical, social, emotional and educational outcomes
• collaborate and communicate effectively with the families and guardians of students, to arrive at the best possible outcomes for students’ wellbeing.

As a Student Wellbeing Officer with Toowoomba Catholic Schools, you will be joining a network of 32 schools, who, with the Toowoomba Catholic Schools Office form Toowoomba Catholic school’s system. Through our shared purpose, enabling full and flourishing lives we support staff and students to reach their potential.  

You will receive regular support from your principal and visiting Education Officers - experts who will help you advance your skills and support you in providing the best possible services to students. You will also be a part of a network and given the opportunity to attend targeted professional development hosted by the Toowoomba Catholic Schools Office.
