BVN is looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Studio host to join the Sydney studio. The role of the Studio Host is an important one as you are the first point of contact for visitors to the studio and a host on behalf of BVN. Your role is to manage our guest's experience in our space and to provide flexible administrative support for the studio.Also important to this role is for the studio arrival areas, front of house, meeting rooms and communal spaces, to be impeccably prepared, presented, and managed.The person in this role should be presentable and possess a polite, approachable, helpful, energetic, friendly, outgoing, and personable manner. You should be patient, have excellent communication skills, and an ability to engage and liaise with all levels of clients and personnel. You will be an integral part of creating a vibrant studio atmosphere and environment.At BVN we encourage our space to be used for internal and external events therefore this role will help co-ordinate these events. Establishing the studio as a place for hosting events to grow our relationships with clients and the community.You should also be proactive in addressing studio requirements and needs, collaborating with others with professionalism and excellence, and be co-operative, focused, positive, flexible, and willing to use your initiative.Role Responsibilities:
- Meet and greet all guests to the studio with an attentive, warm, and inviting manner, good first impressions are vital.
- Since you will be representing BVN and be the first point of contact for visitors (including guests, clients, consultants, suppliers, contractors etc.) we expect you to always maintain a professional appearance and demeanour.
- We also want you to greet your colleagues in a friendly, warm manner as you are usually the first colleague, they see every day.
- We want our guests to feel comfortable and at home, therefore we encourage our guests to take a seat in the soft seating area. Offering them the Wi-Fi password to allow them to work if they like.
- As a Studio Host, you will play an integral role in ensuring that our studio is always looking its best. We take pride in our space and want it to reflect us. Therefore, we encourage you to be proactive in maintaining the studio's appearance.
- With assistance from the Studio Director, you will help curate the studio space and bring new ideas to the table. This will include updating the below spaces:
- Forum
- Exhibition space in front of the workshop
- Red shelves around the columns
- What's on the screens throughout the studio
- And any other areas you think need some attention.
- Ensure meeting rooms and break out spaces are always looking at their best.
- Provide administrative support including induction processes and work experience.
- General support to staff and Studio
- Keeping kitchen areas tidy and clean, check/run dishwashers.
- Petty cash management (invoicing reconciliations)
- Answering main telephone, directing calls, and taking messages
- Assisting with calendar invites for Leadership Connect check ins.
- Ad hoc studio tasks.
