The Role:
As a Gaming Host, you will be the face of our gaming area, ensuring an enjoyable and safe environment for all patrons. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Customer Service: Providing exceptional service to all patrons, ensuring a welcoming and enjoyable environment within the gaming area.
- RCG, Compliance, and Regulations: Ensuring all gaming operations comply with NSW gaming laws and regulations, including responsible conduct in gambling practices.
- RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol): Monitoring and managing the service of alcohol in the gaming area, ensuring compliance with RSA guidelines.
- Machine Operations: Assisting patrons with the use of gaming machines, including troubleshooting minor issues and explaining game rules and features.
- Cash Handling: Managing cash transactions accurately, including payouts and cash floats, in accordance with club policies and procedures.
- Monitoring and Security: Observing the gaming area to identify and address any potential issues, such as underage gambling or suspicious behaviour, and ensuring a safe environment for patrons.
- Monitoring and Intervention: Actively monitoring the gaming area for signs of problem gambling and intervening when necessary, including approaching patrons who may be exhibiting risky behavior.
- Promotion of Safe Gambling Environment: Creating and maintaining a safe and supportive environment for all patrons, including the display of responsible gambling messages and materials.
- Promotions and Events: Assisting with the promotion and execution of gaming-related events and promotions, engaging with patrons to enhance their experience.
- Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of gaming activities, including machine performance, incidents, and compliance checks.
- Training and Development: Staying informed about changes in gaming regulations and participating in ongoing training to ensure up-to-date knowledge and skills.
- Conflict Resolution: Addressing and resolving any disputes or issues that arise in the gaming area, ensuring they are handled professionally and efficiently.
Shifts:
- Shifts will range between 9 AM and 2 AM over 7 days per week, with predominantly evenings needed.
Main Requirements:
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate
- Current Responsible Conduct of Gambling (RCG) certificate
- Current Police Check certificate
We Would Love You to Have:
- Proven success in hospitality with experience in gaming
- Good presentation and attention to detail
- The ability to work within a team environment and motivate others
- Amazing communication skills
Must be available for a variety of shifts including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
